It was our last night in New York and I had managed to purchase some tickets to the New York Yankees vs the San Francisco Giants at  Yankee Stadium. Having never been to  a baseball game before , I wasn’t really sure what to expect. So we decided to use the subway to get to and from the game. It was so easy on the subway and was also an experience in itself. We had half the train carriage talking to us and others around us. I thought that I could hop in a lift in New Zealand and have no one talk to me but happily chat away to complete strangers in a New York subway! The people were fantastic.

The whole stadium was amazing; the size  of it; the way that people behaved at the game. There was some great banter between fans and the hotdogs and chips were great. There was even a marriage proposal in the seats down in front of us. Always thought that to be a bit cheesy but it really was quite nice!

The game was easy to follow, the people around us very hospitable and one of many experiences that I would recommend doing whilst in New York .

I love New York !
