Whilst staying in Monterey, we decided to take a drive around the coast from Monterey to Carmel by the Sea. So we headed along the coast road until we stumbled across an entrance to the 17-Mile Drive in Pebble Beach. There was a queue of cars at the entrance and I was not really sure whether we would be able to drive in but we waited in line anyway.  They were collecting an entrance fee of USD10.25, this allowed us to drive through and view the various attractions along the way. It was only by accident that we stumbled across this but would recommend it. The houses and scenery along the 17-Mile drive were amazing.
