Each year we try to go to one of the Islands in the Hauraki Gulf . Rotoroa Island is about 1 hour by ferry from Downtown Auckland. We arranged to do the guided walk , just to make sure we saw the main sites of the island.

We took our lunch and had a picnic on the beach as there is nowhere to buy something to eat on the island.

A beautiful natural place to visit .
